Day 1: Pickup – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
The 5 Days Uganda safari is flexible with the starting point. This tour can start from Kigali on a 5 to 6 hour drive to Kasenyi sector Queen Elizabeth national park. This tour can also start from Uganda for a drive from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth national park on a 6 – 7 hour drive driving via the Equator.

Day 2: Lion / Leopard Tracking experiential – Launch cruise along the Kazinga channel
Lion and Leopard tracking experiential in Queen Elizabeth national park is a research program set up by the Uganda Carnivore Program to monitor numbers of predators in Queen Elizabeth national park which previously has faced numerous death of lions and other predators which are still highly threatened by poachers and surrounding communities.

The unique adventure is managed by a team of researchers who track locations of all predators in the park. The lions and leopards have signal codes tied on their necks to tell actual locations in the large national reserve. The adventure takes tourists driving off truck to find the locations of these predators guaranteeing close sights and fantastic photography of lions and leopards in your safari.

Queen Elizabeth national park is home to the highest number of lions in Uganda, but random sights on a game drive isn’t guaranteed as compared to the lion tracking experimental adventure.

Other adventures in Queen Elizabeth national park include chimpanzee tracking in Kalinzu forest reserve, chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura gorge, boat cruise along the Kazinga channel, games drives in Kasenyi sector of the park, tree climbing lion watching in Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth, bird watching and so much more.

In the afternoon set out for a launch cruise along the kazinga channel offering great views of herds of Hippos along the channel banks and a good concentration of Nile Crocodiles.

Day 3: Game drive in Ishasha to view tree climbing lions – Transfer to Bwindi National park

Set out early morning after breakfast for a drive through Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park with a good chance to view tree climbing lions hanging in fig trees. The tree climbing lions can only be seen in Queen Elizabeth national park in Uganda.

Continue your drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park where you will be trekking mountain gorilla the next day. Dinner and overnight at

Day 4: Mountain Gorilla Trekking – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Start off with breakfast and drive to the briefing station which is the Bwindi forest headquarters for briefing, registration and start guided treks into Bwindi forest in search of mountain gorillas. Each group of 8 tourists takes a different route to find their gorilla group. Once you meet your gorilla family, you will spend 1 special hour a few meters from the gorillas watching them, taking videos and photographs up close to the gorillas.

After gorilla trekking, trek back to the starting point where you will receive gorilla trekking certificate and meet your guide who will drive you back to the hotel for lunch.

Depart from your lodge driving to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Uganda’s most beautiful lakes characterized with lots of bird species. Today you will overnight overlooking the beautiful lake relaxing by the lake.

Day 5: Canoeing and departure to Entebbe or Kigali

Wake-up at leisure overlooking the beautiful lake and have breakfast enjoying the beautiful sunrise. Lake Bunyonyi offers a beautiful canoe ride to different historic islands including the floating Island and the punishment Island each with a special history which the locals will share with you. You will enjoy bird watching as you explore the beautiful lake.

After lunch, set off for Kigali crossing back into Rwanda. Your tour guide will drop you off at our hotel or airport to catch departure flight today.
