Day 1: Pickup from Hotel – Transfer to Lake Mburo national Park
Lake Mburo national park is situated 3 hour drive from Kampala and Entebbe with a stop to the equator. The most popular wildlife in lake Mburo are Zebras unique to this park, other wildlife found in this park include buffalos, impalas, elands, hippos, leopard, topis, hyena and so much more.
On arrival in Lake Mburo national park, you will embark on a game drive to spot wildlife in Uganda’s smallest but wildlife-rich park harboring over 350 bird species and most popularly visited by birder tourists due to its large swamp formation.
After lunch, you will take park in a beautiful boat ride along Lake Mburo offering a good opportunity to view variety of wildlife including hippos, waterbucks and lots of birds.

The nature walking safari in Lake Mburo sets off after breakfast at your hotel. The walk offers you a fresh feel of the bush and wildlife just within your reach. The walking safari rejuvenates you and activates your sense of true nature.
You will later set off on a 4 to 5 hour drive to Bwindi impenetrable forest where you will check-into your accommodation overlooking the beautiful Bwindi forest for an early dinner and rest.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking – visit Batwa Pygmies
Gorilla trekking safaris in Bwindi start at 8:00am in all 4 sectors of Bwindi forest national park. Prior to gorilla trekking, all tourists must arrive at the head office by 7:30am to receive briefing about the do’s and donts while with the mountain gorillas. The do’s include what you can do and is safe with the gorillas and you while the donts have been set to avoid doing while with the gorillas to make sure tourists don’t upset them during their visit to the forest.
Tourists can only visit fully habituated gorilla families which are used to the presence of visitors and wont mind when visitors are watching them.
Tourists trek through the forest guided by trained Uganda Wildlife staff called trackers. They have done tours in the forest for more than 10years with great experience of the forest. They keep informing you about the forest and the government conservation effort to protect the mountain gorillas in the mist.
One you meet your gorilla family, your guide will whisper to leave back your bags and draw near to the gorillas with our cameras ad phones. No flashlight is allowed or will upset the gorillas. You can only be in the company of gorillas for just 1 hour each day standing a few meters away, living a dream of your life.
Your guide will be waiting as you arrive back from the gorillas and receive certificates appreciating you for your efforts in supporting conservation of gorillas in Uganda.
Return to your hotel for lunch and rest, later go out to visit the Batwa pygmies who were removed from the forest for mountain gorillas conservation.
Day 4: Transfer to Kigali – crossing into Rwanda on a 3 hour drive to Kigali international airport to catch departure flight.
Alternatively, we can drive 8 – 10 hours back to Kampala or Entebbe for drop off or One can fly from Kihihi airstrip by charter flight to Entebbe to catch departure flight back home.
