Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Drive off from Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve

Our experienced safari guide will meet you at the hotel facility and today, you will have a quick briefing about your trip itinerary. After, you will be transferred to Masai Mara National Reserve, navigating via the stunning rift valley. A short stopover will be made at the view point of the Great Rift Valley.

From the rift valley, you will proceed to the Maasai Mara to check in your lodge. Get some time to relax at the lodge, enjoy lunch and some refreshments. In the afternoon, you will have the most exciting game drive. In the afternoon, expect to look out for different wildlife including impalas, elephants, lions, zebras, Thompson’s gazelles, waterbucks, jackals, bat eared foxes, hyenas and more.

Day 2: Full day game viewing in Masai Mara

Set off from the camp/safari lodge for a full day game viewing expedition in Maasai Mara National Reserve. Go with a pack of lunch and today, expect to enjoy sight of diverse animals including cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, gazelles, and some birds. In case your target is the wildebeest migration, then plan your trip around July to September.

Day 3: Full day game viewing still in Masai Mara

With a pack of a picnic lunch, you will set off for another full day game viewing session in Maasai Mara. Today, the target sites will be the Mara River and Talek River which flow through the reserve and serve as source of water for most wildlife. While here, expect to come across numerous hippos, crocodiles and also observe the great migration.

In the afternoon, have a brief game drive session and then proceed to the nearby Maasai local community to interact with the Maasai warriors. Once you have explored the unique traditions and cultures at the Maasai community, you will return to the lodge or camp.

Day 4: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru

After the hearty breakfast, leave your lodge for Lake Nakuru National Park. First, expect to enjoy a guided game drive at the Maasai Mara as you exit to Lake Nakuru. En-route, expect to settle for lunch then continue to Lake Nakuru National Park. Embark on the afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru and search for the black and white rhinos, flamingos, leopards, giraffes and more.
