Day 1: Pickup from Kigali – Transfer to Akagera National park – Game drive and Boat ride
Akagera national park is Rwanda’s largest wildlife park characterized savannah grasslands, swamps, woodlands housing the only population of wildlife including elephants, lions, rhinos, leopard, zebras, giraffes, and thousands of bird species including the rare shoebill stork. Akagera national park also hosts lake Ihema situated in the southern part of the park harboring wildlife including hippos, buffalo and crocodiles which can be seen on boat ride in the park.

Day 3: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda – Visit Iby’wacu cultural village
Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park starts at 08:00am with briefing about gorilla conservation and tourism in Volcanoes national park. You have a chance to select a porter to help you carry your backpack, your camera equipment and hold your hand as you hike the jungle. Gorilla trekking lasts 1 hour once the tourists see the mountain gorillas.
The ibywacu cultural village is located near volcanoes national park and is an interesting add on to your safari. In this village, tourists have a chance to learn and experience the real life of Rwandans from families and how they live, to traditions in kingship, cooking and running typical Rwandan home, roles of men in families and so much more.
